for Medicare Advantage & Part D plans are being mailed out.

These changes do not pertain to Medicare Supplement - AKA Medigap plans.

This year will see the biggest changes to Medicare we've seen, so it's critical that you know what to expect with your plans.

These are the changes in plans we're expecting to see for 2025:

• Medical deductibles, which we’ve not seen before

• There will be expanding prescription drug deductibles on more plans

• Increased Maximum Out of Pocket costs

• A reduction in or no Optional Supplemental Benefits (dental, hearing, vision, etc)

And most concerning, Plan Exits in some markets. Meaning the plan will cease to exist.

If a person is currently enrolled in a Medicare Advantage plan that exits, & they do no not enroll in another Medicare Advantage plan, they will find themselves enrolled in only Original Medicare (Parts A & B).

That means they will be responsible for 20% of the cost of all of their medical with absolutely no limit on their Out of Pocket expenses. Additionally, they would lose their drug coverage as well.

In this scenario, the person wouldn’t be allowed to enroll in another Medicare Advantage, or Part D drug plan until next fall (October the 15th – December the 7th) & their plan would not become effective until January 1st, 2026.
